On this business trip to Cyprus I booked my car on QEEQ and planned to pick up an automatic Toyota Yaris at Larnaca airport. It was around the morning of March twenty first when I landed. I went straight to the GREEN MOTION counter. The staff there handled the paperwork quite fast and I thought my trip would go very smooth. The next day when I was driving in the city a small accident happened. I parked the car by the road and my angle was not good. One side of the car touched a low stone edge. There were clear scratches on the door and on the paint. I felt a bit shocked. I was worried I would be late for my meeting and at the same time I thought this might cost a lot of money. At night when I drove back to my place I still felt nervous and kept thinking that if I had to pay all of this by myself my budget would be broken. I was glad that when I booked the car I read the terms carefully and added AXA Full Coverage. I chose it because my business schedule was tight and I did not want to waste time arguing if something happened. After the scratch my first reaction was to contact their support and explain what happened. I kept all the bills and documents from the rental counter. I remember the car rental company charged my credit card around sixty five euro. When I signed the slip I felt quite bad but I also knew I had no choice at that moment. The nice part was that the service team who talked to me stayed calm. They did not make me repeat too many details. They just checked the damage part the amount and my bank information. My situation was a bit complex because my main address and account were in Ukraine but I was staying in other countries and using different accounts. Even I felt it was a little messy. I changed my payout account once and had to confirm the currency and I was afraid this could cause problems and stop the payment. After some time I got their message that the claim for the car damage was approved and the amount was 65 euro. I felt a big relief. It meant the money that the rental company took from my card would be covered and sent back to me. The process took a few steps because of my address and account changes but in the end the money still arrived. For someone who travels for business a lot this matters to me. This small accident in Cyprus did not turn into a long and stressful money issue and that was exactly why I was happy I chose that coverage.
