Can you really book a car with just 1 dollar first and keep it? I was not sure at the start. I needed a seven seat car in Mykonos and also two child seats for my 5 year old and 2 and a half year old, so the money felt like a lot. I booked through QEEQ and chose the One-Dollar Freeze plan and I only paid 1 dollar to lock the Volkswagen Caddy for our Mykonos trip. What was I worried about? I asked myself if they would take all the rest of the money at one time or if there would be some extra fees. After some days I saw that they only took the rest of the money from my credit card before the rental started and it was in a few charges. I got a notice each time. I checked every amount with my booking and it was the same. There was no interest and no strange extra cost. Why was this way so important for me? Because I also needed money for the trip and for the kids and if I paid the full rental at once my credit card would feel very tight. With this plan I only paid 1 dollar at the beginning so I felt much more relaxed. When it got close to our travel date I could just look at my bill slowly and it was fine for me. As the days got closer to late May when we would fly to Mykonos I felt more and more happy that I chose this plan. Around the 20th or 22nd our flight would land in the evening. My wife would walk with the two kids and I would go out first to the counter to get the car. In my mind it was very calm because the car was already booked long before and the payment was already done step by step so I just needed to pick it up. If there was no way to book with only 1 dollar first I might wait longer to book or I might choose a smaller car that is not so good for a family. With this plan I kept the bigger family car and my credit card did not feel too heavy. The whole time before the trip felt much easier for me.
