When I checked the bill I was a bit surprised because the final price was lower than what I remembered at the start. At first I thought I made a mistake. Then I realized it was because I chose the Price Drop Protector when I booked on QEEQ and they saved that difference for me. At that moment I felt quite relaxed and I thought that at least for this rental in Antalya I did not need to worry too much about the money part. If I think back a bit I was planning a short trip to Antalya with my kid and the schedule was a bit tight. I had to compare cars and prices and also think about safety for the child so I felt quite tired. I picked a car from Cizgi. It was a Renault Megane automatic with four doors and five seats. It was just right for our family and our bags. That night I sat in front of my computer and calculated again and again. In my head I kept asking myself if I should wait a bit more to see if the price would go down. My wife was next to me and said I should stop checking and go to sleep because our kid was already in bed. I told her that if the price dropped later then I would lose money. When I said that I also felt a bit silly. Then I saw there was a service called Price Drop Protector. It said that if the price went down later they would rebook for me and give me back the difference. I felt much more calm after that. I thought I could just book the car now and if the price dropped later it would still be fine. So I placed the first booking. After some days I did not keep refreshing the price. I was busy with plane tickets and planning things for my kid. Around the start of June I suddenly got an email. It said my booking was confirmed again and the price was now lower. It also showed I saved a few euro. My first reaction was that I did not change anything. I told my wife that the car price went down and they helped me adjust it. She asked if I changed the booking again. I said no and that it was the price protection working. I checked the old amount and the new one. It was really a bit cheaper. The amount was not huge but it felt like I found some free pocket money. With that we could buy some extra drinks or ice cream for our kid. Now when I look back if I did not use Price Drop Protector I would probably keep watching the price or I would give up and just feel bad if the price dropped later. When you travel with a child you already have many things to think about. I did not want to waste energy on a few euro. This function is quite useful for a parent like me. It feels like a small safety net. You book first and if the price goes down they fix it for you. Our plan is to pick up the car around June tenth at Antalya airport in the evening around half past six and to return it on the thirteenth early in the morning around half past seven. Because the pickup is in the evening and the drop off is very early I want to focus more on my kid and our schedule instead of thinking if I should cancel and rebook all the time. During the whole process I did not really talk with customer service about this. I did not have to ask how to get the refund. When the price dropped they just changed it to the lower one and the old booking was simply improved. For me as the user the only thing I saw was that the bill was lower and the trip stayed the same. The car class was still the same with Cizgi in Antalya and everything followed the plan. In my head I told myself that next time I book a car I will probably keep this option on again. I like to save money but I also do not want to sit in front of the computer every day to watch prices. This experience fits what I hoped for at the start. With a kid next to me if I can worry about one less thing then I already feel quite happy.
