I will start with the funny part. In Rovaniemi my car booking suddenly got cheaper and I got money back even though I did nothing. I was just sitting at my laptop and saw the new lower price and the refund. I stared at the screen and thought this feels unreal. I am traveling alone to Rovaniemi. My plan is to arrive on June 11 and then pick up the car early in the morning on June 13 around seven. It is a small automatic car from GREEN MOTION something like a Volkswagen Polo with four doors and five seats. When I booked on QEEQ I chose the Price Drop Protector. To be honest I only picked it because I thought it might save some money and it was not expensive. Then I totally forgot about it. A few days ago I was checking my email and I saw that my order number was different. My first thought was that something went wrong. I got nervous right away because when you travel alone problems like this are scary. I opened the details and saw a new booking for Rovaniemi with almost the same pickup and return time still returning on the evening of the 15th. The car was the same type. The price was lower than my first booking and I saw a refund of a bit more than 11 EUR. I felt so relieved and also really surprised. They had rebooked it for me and gave me back the price difference. When I first booked I was ready to accept the price. My flight and place to stay were already fixed so I thought the car price would just stay like that. Then they actually watched the price for me. For a student who travels alone that 11 EUR is like one good dinner or a fun supermarket run. I started to recalculate my budget for that day in my head and my plan suddenly felt a bit easier. On my side I did nothing at all. I just wait to pick up the car on June 13 and drive around Rovaniemi until the 15th. When I found out they already saved me money it felt like finding a small red envelope. No hard steps no strange rules. It quietly made my booking cheaper. This Price Drop Protector feels like a little cheat tool running in the background. I do not need to watch the price they do it for me and just let me know by sending the refund. For someone traveling alone it is a really nice way to save money and it gave my trip a very good surprise before I even got on the plane.

AXA Full Coverage

The story actually started with a bill in my email. I was already back home from Turku in Finland for a few days when I saw a message from the rental company. I only remembered one night when I was reversing. The road was a bit slippery with snow. I drove very slowly and even got out of the car to check. I saved the email from the rental company and put together the damage file and photos they gave me. I sent everything they needed and submitted the claim. Those days I felt a bit anxious. Now when I see the photo of that white BMW X1, I think of the snow, the road and the freedom of driving alone in a new city. I do not first think of the scary number in that email. And I am glad that when I booked with QEEQ I clicked that extra insurance. Otherwise this little story might become a memory I would not want to talk about for a long time.
