Do I really need to pay the full car rental amount at once when I travel alone to Milan This was my first question when I saw the total price. I looked at the number and felt a bit stressed. Then I booked on QEEQ and saw One-Dollar Freeze. I could pay only 1 dollar first. I asked myself if this would make things easier for me. I paid that 1 dollar to lock the car. I also wondered if it would be annoying later and if I needed to remember when to pay the rest. Then I saw that the rest of the money was charged automatically before the rental started. I asked myself again if I would feel more nervous if I had paid everything months before. At least this way I did not put the whole amount on my card too early. When I returned the car in Milan on the evening of June 4 I checked my bills. The prepaid part and the rental charge matched. There was no extra money taken. I asked myself if I felt cheated and the answer was no. For someone like me who travels alone and still needs credit card space for flights and hotels this way of paying 1 dollar first and then letting the rest be charged automatically made my budget easier to control and kept the pressure on my credit card low.
